The Bible tells us that every person in the world is a sinner. But maybe you think that you are the worst sinner in the world. Maybe you think that no one has ever done as many terrible things as you have done.
Paul felt that he was a terrible sinner. He wrote about this in 1 Timothy 1:15. “Here is a true statement that should be accepted without question: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, and I am the worst of them.”
Paul goes on to say that even though he was a terrible sinner, God was patient with him and showed him mercy. God forgave Paul’s sins and helped him live for Jesus. Paul was an example of God’s great forgiveness and love.
If God forgave Paul’s sins, He can forgive your sins, too. God can forgive all the horrible things that you have done in your life. You can have God’s forgiveness because Jesus died on the cross and accepted the punishment for your sins.
God wants you to be sorry for your sins and ask Him to forgive you. God will show you His mercy and forgiveness. He will also help you understand His Word and show you how to be a follower of Jesus. Ask for God’s forgiveness today!
