Over the past year and a half, the Deaf Devo devotions have covered the entire Old Testament, and the Gospels and book of Acts from the New Testament.
Now we are ready to study through the rest of the New Testament. Our devotions for September through December will cover verses from these books: 13 letters written by Paul; the book of Hebrews; 7 letters written by John, Peter and Jude; and finally, the book of Revelation. Studying all these New Testament books will help us grow and become stronger Christians. And they will teach us how to follow Jesus more closely and encourage us to keep serving God until Jesus comes again.
In his letters, Paul talked a lot about God’s power. 1 Corinthians 2:4-5 tells us that Paul wrote so we can know about God’s power. “My teaching and my speaking were not with wise words that persuade people. But the proof of my teaching was the power that the Spirit gives. I did this so that your faith would be in God’s power, not in human wisdom.” This is a very important teaching for all Christians.
I encourage you to faithfully study the Bible every day and to think about how you can humbly serve God. And I challenge you to depend on God and His plan for your life.
