In Acts, chapter 18, we learn about a husband and wife named Aquila and Priscilla. They were Jewish Christians who were forced to leave Rome by the emperor. They moved to the city of Corinth. Aquila and Priscilla were tent makers, like Paul. Paul stayed with them and worked with them for a long time. Later, Aquila and Priscilla traveled to the city of Ephesus with Paul and helped him spread the news about Jesus.
Eventually, Aquila and Priscilla moved back to Rome. When Paul sent a letter to the Christians in Rome, he also included greetings to people in the church. In Romans 16:3-4, Paul greeted Aquila and Priscilla and shared some important things about them. “Give my greetings to Priscilla and Aquila, who have worked together with me for Christ Jesus. They risked their own lives to save mine. I am thankful to them, and all the non-Jewish churches are thankful to them.”
Aquila and Priscilla were willing to die so that Paul’s life would be saved. Why? Because they were strong Christians, and they knew that God would take care of them in every situation.
No matter what you will face in the future, you can know that God will protect you and give you strength. Be like Aquila and Priscilla and depend on Him!
