After giving a few examples of exaggerated ASL signs: those are a few examples of over-exaggerated signs. Calm down, take it easy and just interpret naturally. Of course, I’m all for ASL, but I’ve seen some interpreters try to exaggerate and over-dramatize their signs, but built up too much to the point where it doesn’t feel natural. I remember one interpreter who was giving out some simple directions, but the signer was overdoing the signs (about the car driving), and I felt it was too much and didn’t feel natural at all. I’m sure y’all can do ASL. Don’t exaggerate and just sign naturally.
