Love and Grace

September 13

September 13, 2019 • Matt Keller

God loves you, and nothing can separate you from His love. Paul talked about this in Romans 8:38-39. “Yes, I am sure that nothing can separate us from God’s love — not death, life, angels, or ruling spirits. I am sure that nothing now, nothing in the future, no powers, nothing above us or nothing below us — nothing in the whole created world — will ever be able to separate us from the love God has shown for us in Christ Jesus our Lord.” No matter what you do, God will continue to love you. You can reject God’s love, but that will not stop God from loving you.

BUT if you reject God’s grace, you cannot be saved. God’s grace is not the same as God’s love. You must accept the gift of God’s grace through Jesus before you can receive forgiveness. Of course, God will patiently wait for you to accept His free gift. But God will never force you to accept it.

Jesus told a story about a proud religious leader and a humble tax collector. The religious leader depended on the good things he did instead of depending on God’s grace. But the tax collector was humble. He begged God to forgive him, and God forgave him. God loved both men, but only the humble man received God’s grace.

Be humble and depend on God’s grace today!
