Students (5th - 12th) will be challenged to look at the creation story in new way as the Bible comes to life as we experience the Noah's Ark Encounter - a life-size, Biblical replica as illustrated in Genesis. Students will be able to visualize what life would have been like on the Ark and will be challenged with considering the evidence that the story of Noah is an actual account of a real life event that affirms God's plan and will for each of our lives. In addition, students will be able to explore the Creation Museum where the account of creation is masterfully on display that helps answer some tough but relevant questions such as "Why are we here?" and "Why is there so much pain and suffering in the world today?" Students will have an opportunity to engage in small groups to tackle these life altering questions and really embrace the truth of God's Word as they prepare to share the hope of Jesus Christ with a dying world. Students won’t want to miss out on all God has in store for them during this life radical, life transforming retreat. Students will be staying in an airbnb ranch with bunk beds and showers.
The total cost is $150 and covers entry to Noah's Ark and the Creation Museum, dinner Wednesday night, and breakfast Thursday through Saturday morning. Students will also need $ for 7 meals - lunch on the way there, lunch at the Ark Encounter, dinner on Thursday night, lunch at the Creation Museum, dinner on Friday night, and lunch/dinner on the way back - at least $100. They will also need $ for snacks when we stop along the way there and back and extra $ for souvenirs. There are additional activities (camel rides, virtual reality experience, etc.) at the Noah’s Ark Encounter and Creation Museum that are not included in the ticket price, so students may want to bring extra $ for those activities along with purchasing souvenirs at either location. The cost of the buffet at the Noah’s Ark Encounter is $16.99 + tax. There are other food options there. Creation Museum offers two cafes and some other dining options.
