Colorado Mission Trip 2025 (in partnership with First Southern Baptist Church)
Goal: To come alongside Pastor Josh Hargett and his team to advance the Gospel in the community and surrounding areas in Colorado Springs. Our team will primarily accomplish this by aligning with the ministry objectives of First Southern and its initiatives to promote and host Vacation Bible School for the Summer of 2025. Our team may pass out flyers, host a promotional event, help with community outreach, assist with community service projects, serve on the VBS team, or whatever Pastor Josh asks of our team.
Qualifications: Each team member selected will be required to fill out a missions application. In addition, each member will be required to attend each training session - 3/30, 4/27, and 6/11. Each member is at a minimum expected to be a professing Christian and living a lifestyle consistent with Biblical teaching. Attendance, relationships with leadership and peers, and standing in the community and on campus will be considered in evaluating each team member selected. Character and spiritual references will be required as part of the application process.
Accommodations: Our team will be hosted at First Southern Baptist Church - 1409 Palmer Park Blvd, Colorado Springs, CO, 80909. We will make use of the space in the basement where our team will sleep on air mattresses. The church has showers and a kitchen available for our team. Breakfast will be at the church each morning and will mostly pack a sacked lunch each day. Then we will either have a team meal in town or cook our own meal at the church.
Cost: $375
This will cover transportation, all meals (except for travel meals on the way to CO and lunch meals on the way back - 4 total), activities, and lodging. A $75 deposit is required to secure your spot on the team and is due by 3/31/2025. You will need to bring extra $ for travel meals/snacks and souvenirs. The remaining balance can be paid out in installments using the following schedule:
