As our church grows and our classrooms fill, we’ve been praying and seeking the best way to disciple our kids with excellence. We believe that adjusting our classroom age groupings will allow us to better serve children at their specific developmental stages: emotionally, spiritually, and socially. This change is all about creating environments where every child feels seen, engaged, and loved at their level.

New Age Breakdown (effective July 13):

Nursery (N): 0 to 2 years

Toddlers (T): 3 to 4 years

Little Kids (LK): 5 to 7 years

Big Kids (BK): 8 to 12 years

Young and Creative (Y&C): 13 to 18 years (Wednesdays only)

What do I do if my child is supposed to move back, but their birthday is right around the corner?

If their birthday is within two months of the date change, they do not have to move back. If you would like to do this, please email our Kids Director, Rylie, at rylie@creativechurch.com so we can ensure your child’s label reflects the correct classroom

Will my child have to change rooms even if they like where they are now?

Some children will move based on age. If your child’s room is changing, we’ll make the transition smooth and fun. Our leaders will be ready to help them feel safe and excited for their new group.

What if my kids are now in different rooms? Can they stay together?

We understand this can be an adjustment. We encourage kids to join their new age-based classrooms so we can serve them best. Most kids settle in quickly and enjoy being with peers in the same stage of development.

Do I need to update anything in the check-in system?

No action needed. We’ll update everything behind the scenes so your child is automatically checked into the right room. Your check-in labels will reflect their new group
