Advent means “coming.” In Hebrew, “coming” can mean to walk with someone. What would it mean for us this Christmas season to walk alongside someone who is experiencing hardship or loss? The joy of Christmas—the good news of Jesus—is for all people, and it is meant to be shared.

At Christmas, we celebrate and welcome the love of God through the birth of his Son, our Savior, Jesus Christ. God’s love is what led to Jesus becoming Emmanuel, God with us, while we were yet sinners—eventually leading to his death and resurrection. God’s love is good, and it is that same love God desires for his children to display to everyone.
