Altar Worker’s Course
The Altar Worker’s Course is a comprehensive training designed to prepare individuals for meaningful service at the altar. This training is ideal for those who feel called to serve in a deeper way during worship service. This course equips participants with practical skills, and biblical foundation necessary to effectively assist during altar ministry. Whether responding to salvation calls, praying for healing, or ministering restoration, altar workers play a vital role in the life of the church.
Why Training is Important:
Trained altar workers can confidently guide individuals through spiritual decisions with care and clarity. They are equipped to handle sensitive moments with compassion and understanding, ensuring that each person feels heard, supported, and valued. Through personalized prayer and guidance, they minister to the unique needs of individuals while upholding reverence and dignity in every interaction. Training also empowers altar workers to strengthen the faith of others through encouragement, biblical counsel, and discipleship. Most importantly, they lead by example—modeling a life of service, integrity, and spiritual maturity for the entire congregation.
Please Note:
This course will be required for anyone who desires to serve during altar calls. However, registration and completion of the program do not guarantee placement on the altar worker team. Because of the weighty responsibility of praying over others, we are committed to ensuring that every altar worker is not only equipped, but also spiritually grounded and aligned with the core biblical beliefs of our church. Our goal is to ensure our altar team is praying—not preying—over others, ministering with humility, purity, and the heart of Christ.
Course Leadership:
This course will be led by Paul and Mary Pearson, seasoned ministers with a heart for prayer and spiritual mentorship.
