Saturday, March 21 Children’s Hunger Fund partners with churches to help deliver hope and meals to families in need right here in our community. Volunteers will work together to package meals into boxes and prepare them for distribution to local families. We are having baptisms during all Easter services! If you’ve accepted Jesus as the leader of your life, this is an exciting weekend to take the next step in your faith journey through water baptism. Baptism is an outward expression of an inward relationship with Jesus. When we take this step in our faith, we are making a public declaration that our old life of sin is gone and we are walking in the new life Christ offers us! This event is for young married and engaged couples to meet others in similar life stages! We will play games, eat food, and grow in Christ-centered community together.
We believe that the decision to be married is a sacred one and should not be made lightly. If you are ready to tie the knot, we would love for you to go through a Premarital Seminar with us on April 17-18! This seminar will set you up with a great understanding of what it truly means to be in a marriage that honors God and each other. You will be guided through conversations about plans and expectations, and receive practical advice on the signs of a healthy you and a healthy marriage. After you complete the seminar, you will be invited to take the SYMBIS assessment and schedule a meeting with one of our certified pastors to discuss your results. After this you will receive a certificate of completion that will save you $60 on your marriage license (Texas residents only)! The seminar meets on Friday evening, 7:00-9:00 PM, and the following Saturday morning, 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM.
Connect Track is a two-hour onsite class where you can learn Who Hope Is and how you can get connected. We also will dive into volunteer opportunities at Hope, how to join a group, and what it looks like to become a member. There will be food, and Kid's Ministry will be provided. You can attend whichever date works best for you, regardless of which campus you call home! Join us for a Serve Day as we roll up our sleeves and help out Direction 61:3! They will have opportunities at all of their homes in McKinney and Denton as well as at The Farm. There will be various projects including cleaning, painting, minor home repairs, and fall yard work. Saturday, April 18 from 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM You'll need to wear closed-toed shoes, bring some work gloves, water and a heart to serve!! There will be a variety of jobs to do—something for everyone! Communion class is a foundational class intended for kids who have asked Jesus to be their Lord and Savior. It will help kids understand God's plan, which includes Jesus' sacrifice upon the cross and His love for us. Kids will be walked through God's plan for salvation, what communion represents and why we receive communion. Hope invites anyone grieving the death of a spouse to join us for this encouraging seminar. Participants will hear practical advice from others who have been through this journey, talk about what to expect in your grief, how to cope with life without your partner, and find hope in knowing that it won't always hurt this much. Project Serve Meals of Hope is Hope's biggest outreach event of the year, and we need your help! Our goal is to package over half a million meals and there's some work that has to be done beforehand to make this a reality! Set up is Thursday, April 23, at 5:30 PM at the East Campus. We'll set up the tables, pull in the product, and make sure it's ready to go for the Friday shifts!! We'll provide a quick grab-and-go dinner and hope to be done by 8:00 PM!
Join us for Meals of Hope on Friday, April 24, and Saturday, April 25, at our Frisco East campus! It's our 14th year of packing meals, and our goal is over half a million meals in one weekend!! To pull this off, we need lots of individuals willing to serve multiple shifts, known as our Team Captains. Commitment choices: - Superstar Captains serve all 4 shifts on Friday and Saturday. - You can serve 2 shifts on Friday. - You can serve 2 shifts on Saturday. Choice of Captain Roles: Table - Table captains will guide the packing of the food at their table as well as the fun!! Lobby - Lobby captains will welcome, assist, and guide the participants as they arrive for their shift. Floor - This will be a good workout time! This crew will be busy making sure all the tables have enough product throughout the event. Parking lot greeter - We want every person to feel welcomed the moment they drive onto our church property! Join the team that welcomes friends and families the moment they drive onto the church property—smiles, waves, and warm greetings as they arrive and park. You choose which job would fit best for you, and together we will make a difference in a person’s life! All ages are welcome to participate in this event, but we ask that our Captains be 17 years and older.
Join us for Meals of Hope! It’s our 14th year putting together food packets to send to food-insecure areas around the world! We will be packaging a half a million meals in two days, and we need your help to pull it off. All ages are welcome to participate! Shift 1: Friday, April 24 5:00 PM - 6:30 PM Frisco East Campus Because we are working with food, hair nets will be mandatory for all participants, even if they wear a hat. Participants will work in an assembly line fashion packaging simple yet nutritious meals. They will measure the ingredients with scoops and fill and seal the bags in teams.
