Prior to joining Fuller Seminary’s faculty in 2009, he served for 16 years as senior pastor of First Presbyterian Church of Berkeley, California.

He was formerly the founding senior pastor of the Cambridge Community Fellowship Church. Engaging in urban ministry is his passion, and he enables and expands the understanding of his students of the values of racial reconciliation and social justice that combine in the relationship between the church and urban settings.

He recently joined the staff of Village Church (Prairie Village, Kans.) as the new director of Adult Educational Ministries after having taught at Columbia Theological Seminary in Atlanta for the past 15 years.

She is also an author, speaker, and thought leader with over 25 years of ministry experience in the field of racial, ethnic and gender reconciliation. Her mission is to inspire and equip young Christian leaders to practice reconciliation around the world and to build communities that partner with God to bring relational healing and social wholeness.
