Not too many people in the Old Testament have a postmortem appearance. Samuel's life on earth had ended, but he had one more cameo before leaving us for good. If the second Coming does not occur in the next 75 years, the following will happen to everyone reading these words: your prime will come, last, begin to fade, and then disappear. The window for us to accomplish our life’s purpose is closing. For many, it may be close to shutting entirely. This message magnifies the grace with which Samuel stepped aside and passed the baton to the next generation. We don’t have any choice about IF this moment occurs in our lives. We do get to decide HOW it will occur. Hopefully, we will all operate in gratitude, grace and deep trust. Samuel did.
