The arrival of Jesus was like a wildfire catching those who did not fear the Lord unaware. The Lord’s promise for those of us who wait now for his 2nd coming, is that as we fear the Lord and our hearts are restored to Him, He promises us that we will flourish for eternity like an oasis in the desert.

Robbing God

It was expected, commanded even, that the Jewish people support the Lord’s work at the temple. The Lord encouraged their obedience by promising blessings as they responded in faith. We as Christ-Followers, under the New Testament, while not commanded to “Tithe” are equally expected to be generous in support of the Lords Work, and he will pour our His blessings on us as He did the Old Covenant Jews. Testing God

Testing of the Lord is a razor blade edge to walk. When done with humility while living in God’s will it can produce amazing results. When done in pride, outside of God’s will it leads to destruction. References: Malachi 3:8-12, Matthew 4:7, Deuteronomy 6:16, Exodus 17:1-7, Judges 6:36-40
