The Sign

October 14, 2023 • Matt Rosenberg • Jonah 2:1, Genesis 1:21, Jeremiah 51:34, Matthew 12:38–41, Matthew 16:1–4

If you or someone you love is going through a tough time that feels like the end of the world, we highly recommend watching "The Sign," part 5 of Jonah. The Bible is full of stories that showcase death and resurrection, no where more clear than Jonah. The very thing that seemed like it would kill Jonah (being swallowed by a fish) became the vehicle for his rebirth (being in the belly of the fish) and eventual resurrection (being vomited out of the fish's mouth). What feels an agent of death can become a womb of new life for you!

The End

December 16, 2023 • Matt Rosenberg • Matthew 5:43–48, Psalm 121:5–7, Jonah 4:7–11

It's really important to understand the difference between sympathy and empathy when we interact with others. While sympathy is more about feeling sorry for someone, empathy is about understanding what they're going through and connecting with them on a deeper level. As followers of God, we should strive to show empathy to others just as He shows mercy to those who don't deserve it. If you're interested in learning more about empathy, we highly recommend watching "The End," the final message in our Jonah series. God Provides

December 9, 2023 • Matt Rosenberg • Zechariah 14:16, James 1:12–17, Jonah 4:4–5, Genesis 4:16–17, Deuteronomy 16:16–17

God's provision is always better than anything we can provide for ourselves. Even in uncomfortable seasons, we should trust in Him. God will work in all things to get and keep our attention. His desire is to free us from the limitations of our man-made shelters and give us something better: His provisions for us. The Good Life

December 2, 2023 • Matt Rosenberg • Jonah 4:1–4, Genesis 4:3–16, Luke 15:11–32

Being close to God can help us find goodness even in the worst situations. Mastering our anger means recognizing the difference between good and bad anger, finding the goodness of God in every season of our lives. Watch "The Good Life" as we explore God's goodness and anger in the stories of Cain, Jonah, and the prodigal son. Through their examples we can learn to master our anger and no longer let it control us.
