Resilient Disciplines

January 16, 2022 • Hebrews 10:36

Endurance is the way that last days saints gain the victory over the devil and his followers. Spiritual endurance isn't granted, it is grown. To endure something, whether it’s a three-mile run or three-hour traffic jam, means to live through a period of discomfort. We grow comfortable with being uncomfortable to build endurance. "Resilient Disciplines" will explore the power of training to build spiritual endurance. It's just the encouragement we need as we launch our annual Fast5 and Pray on Monday, January 17th. Whether you are veteran follower of Christ or just getting started, you don't want to miss it!

Endurance is built only by training; going through trials. Once our endurance is built, we can be "Resilient". Resilience is the ability to become strong & healthy again after something bad happens, it includes the idea of returning to an original shape after being pulled, stretched, pressed, bent. These are times when we need to be "Resilient".
