The gospel means that Jesus has come to rescue humanity from sin and death. He did this by living a perfect life, dying on the cross as a substitute for our sins, and then rising from the dead in victory over sin and death. And all of this happened so that God could offer salvation to everyone – even you! – without any conditions or requirements!
