Congregational Worship
September 11, 2016 • Dale Oquist, Lead Pastor
Pastor Dale discussed that just as animals have an instinct to flee in a predictable direction or to escape a tsunami hours before it occurs, so we as humans are wired to worship. It is not a question of “Do we worship?” but rather “Who (or what) do we worship?” He showed a video of a huge music concert, with people raising their hands and jumping up and down, and noted that we as Christians tend to subdue ourselves in church when we worship--instead, we need to be our natural selves before God in worship.
