The Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20) is not an encouragement, suggestion or advice. It is a command. These are some of the final words Jesus gave us before he left earth. Jesus’ message is very simple and very clear, “I’m leaving. Now, here is what I want you to do.” And God calls us to a sense of urgency for this mission. We heard the words that Joshua heard numerous times; “Be strong and courageous.” Hear these encouraging words in a new and fresh way.
