You Are The Change

Daniel

Consistency

September 23, 2012 • Chris Edmondson • Philippians 4:6–7, Daniel 6

Consistency. Whether it’s in music, or sports, or public speaking, any other realm, consistency is something we strive for. A college football team is wanting a quarterback who’s consistent. A pitcher in baseball needs to be consistent in how he throws the baseball. As Christians, God calls us to live lives of consistency and integrity. If we live consistent lives of devotion to God, you will find more and more opportunities in which God will move mightily in your circumstances. Why? Because God takes full responsibility for a life completely devoted to Him.

Leadership is Temporary

September 16, 2012 • Chris Edmondson • Daniel 4, Daniel 5

Everyone seems to have an answer about how to improve the country. As the political landscape grows increasingly impassioned during this election season, there is no shortage of opinions as to how the next President should lead. What if you were given the opportunity to be one of the President’s closest advisors? What if you were given the opportunity to influence the perspective of the leadership of a country? An organization? A family? What would you advise?

Willing to Be Noticed

September 9, 2012 • Chris Edmondson • Daniel 3

All of us have friends. Some of us have some friends that rely on us. Others, we have friends we rely on. Have you ever been in a tough spot where you needed one of the friends you look up to, and when you needed them most, they weren’t there? Today, we’re going to see why many times, the people we rely on the most sometimes aren’t there. It’s not just that they’re fickle. Many times, God removes the strong people in our lives that we rely upon to see if we will step it up. To see what we will do. Today, we’re going to see what happens with three guys when their leader is nowhere to be found. Will they fold? Or will they step up?

The Change in Your Work

September 2, 2012 • Chris Edmondson • Daniel 1, Colossians 3:23

In this political season, we've been lead to believe that there are only two options for change. That change happens when we vote for a certain candidate. When we vote for a certain political party. But true change—and the potential for change—doesn't just happen in Washington. True, lasting change doesn't begin in the White House, but in your house. America’s best hope for the future doesn’t depend upon Democrats or Republicans—America’s best hope for the future is you and I and Christians everywhere taking a stand and not just voting—but living differently. Living in this world and living like Christ followers. Because America’s best kept secret isn’t Republican or Democrat, Elephants or Donkeys. America’s hope isn’t about elephants and donkeys—America and the world’s best hope is you living a godly life in a dark place.
