Though it may seem like a extreme attitude that we only see on TV or in odd circumstances, the truth is that anger is all around us, and it’s apart of ALL of our lives. Some anger is good, other anger is bad. But regardless of good or bad, anger always has the same consequence when we let it build up in our lives.

Enemies of Joy

God wants to give you the gift of joy. In fact, if you are a in a relationship with God you already have it. His gift of joy is enough to keep us going on the both the good and bad days. It’s still there when we are unemployed, sick, lonely or discouraged by our circumstances. But Satan wants to steal our joy and suffocate the peace it gives our lives by with discontent and comparison. “The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life.” John 10:10 (NLT)

Do you ever wonder what people are really thinking about? It's so easy to get lost in our negative thoughts, "I'll never be good enough! My life doesn't matter! I hate the way I look! I can't do it all! I will always be miserable! God just doesn't care about me!" The Bible says, "As a man thinks in his heart, so he is." It really is the thought that counts. Many of life's battles are either won or lost in the mind.
