We work hard to make a living, and many of us are not sure how or why we should give any of it away. Besides, after the mortgage and the bills and the tuition payments, there really isn’t much left over. But Scripture tells a very different story when describing what belongs to us and what belongs to God.

Bondage

We live in a world that relies heavily on the “enjoy now, pay later” philosophy. This belief is the foundation upon which the credit card industry was built. Because you want what you want when you want it, you can rationalize swiping the credit card to your heart’s content. There is no burden on you until the bill comes in the mail. But when the bills come, you are now in bondage.

Attitude

There are many attitudes that people have about money and generosity. At first glance, these attitudes may appear to be right, but sadly these attitudes can lead to the death and destruction of our finances and our generosity.
