The Church- Pt.1- Worship

Worship is not about us. Our theology, our preaching, our music, and our ministries MUST be centered on the gospel. If we are centered on the gospel, then our worship will be a response to what Christ has done on the cross, not on what we bring to God. The good news of the gospel is that God accepts our worship because Christ Jesus is worthy! Christ Jesus is the only One who can offer worthy worship, and the Son goes before the Father on our behalf. So we join with the elders, the saints, and the angels falling down in worship before the Son of God.

Because of God’s grace in Christ Jesus, Christians freed from the controlling power of sinful desires and able through the power of God’s Spirit to choose not to follow sinful desires. Christians are called by God to be holy just as he is holy and live good lives with “seeable” good deeds so others glorify God!

God wants you and I to love and obey from our own free will choice, a choice made in response to his “gift of grace”! He wants us to relate to Him as “Abba”, our loving Father, rather Judge enforcing the law! Through the New Covenant of grace, God has enabled you and I to experience an intimate relationship with him like the relationships that exists between Father, Son, and Spirit and out of that relationship love and obey him.
Pt.3-Law- Does the Mosaic Law Apply to Christans

God instituted the Mosaic Law to govern the relationship between a holy God and His rebellious children, Israel. He used Israel to illustrate us. He used the law to highlight our sin and rebellion. He used the law to shine a light on our sin that leads to death. But the Mosaic Law has been replaced by grace through faith in Christ.

What’s the Purpose of the Mosaic Law? God gave the commandments in the Mosaic Law to Israel to highlight the condition of our heart. Because of the fall, sin has corrupted our ability to live rightly. As a result, our disobedience separates us from life with God. The gospel is about Christ Jesus fulfilling the righteous requirements of law on our behalf to set us free from sin and death and bring us into a right relationship with God. Unity of Christians is a gift of grace to be treasured and protected. God wants Christians to maintain and strengthen unity of the Spirit by doing life together in ways that reflect Christ Jesus. This is practical, day-to-day ways of living with each other regardless of what happens in life, in culture, in the country, and in church.

The Spirit of God is the Spirit of Truth. The Spirit is given to every Christian when you receive Christ Jesus as Lord and Savior. If you let Him, He’ll guide you into all truth, into the truth of the seen and unseen as you know and apply the truth of God's Word.
