Ephesians 4:31-32 says- "Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice. Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ forgave you."

In this scripture, Paul doesn't ask for your side of the story or give a timeline for forgiveness. He just says to get rid of all anger through forgiveness. To forgive is to cancel a debt someone owes you. A lot of times, it's a debt they are not capable of ever paying back anyway. Christ came and died for us. This canceled the debt we owed; therefore, we must have mercy and forgiveness for those who do us wrong.

Forgiveness is a choice. It is not done based on your feelings.
