Worth It

1 Corinthians 6:12-20

January 20, 2019 • Will Basham • 1 Corinthians 6:12–20

"Church Gone Wild" is the second part of our sermon series through First Corinthians. "Worth It" is the third sermon in this series. After a couple of mentions of sexual immorality within the Church at Corinth, Paul enters into a discourse explaining why this particular sin is especially offensive to God and to others. All our sins are external, but sexual sin is both external and internal, against others and against ourselves. We are exhorted to respect our bodies, which are temples for God’s glory. The Perfect Imperfect Church

September 9, 2018 • Ryan Navy • 1 Corinthians 1:1–9

"Church Divided" is our sermon series through First Corinthians. "The Perfect Imperfect Church" is the first sermon in this series. The Church at Corinth was a jacked up church, indeed. Filled with all kinds of sin, Paul writes them a letter of correction. In the midst of all the rebuke needed, Paul begins the letter by reminding them of the gospel and the Corinthians’ new identity in Christ. Though they be sinful, they are saints in Christ. More Than Enough

September 23, 2018 • Jeremy Berry • 1 Corinthians 1:18–25

"Church Divided" is our sermon series through First Corinthians. "More Than Enough" is the third sermon in this series. The gospel is all sufficient. Other benefits obviously flow out of the gospel’s influence in our lives but the gospel that Paul preached to the Corinthians was the total package. The gospel gave them all the wisdom they would ever need as well as all the power they would ever need.
