King Jesus Came

When the Light Goes Out

January 8, 2023 • D. Kevin Brown • John 12:37–50

Don’t you hate it when the power goes out? Yet, we still walk into a room and flip on the switch. Oh yeah! No power! For the nation of Israel and their leaders, the light was going out. Their unbelief and rejection of Jesus signaled the end of His life on earth and sealed their fate. Join us as we see how Jesus offers salvation to all, but for those who reject Him, there will come a time when the “Light Goes Out,” and the switch can’t be flipped.

The Coming of Jesus

December 25, 2022 • D. Kevin Brown • John 12:12–19

Jesus came to this earth by way of no fanfare, no parades, no coronation. He came to a feeding trough for animals. Yet, He would grow as a man and 33 years later would enter Jerusalem riding on a donkey to shouts of praise: “Hosanna! Blessed is he who come in the name of the Lord!” Sunday is Christmas and we celebrate His birth and the ultimate goal of His appearance on earth: to be King of Kings and Lord of Lords! Join us as we celebrate “The Coming of Jesus!"

King Jesus Came

December 18, 2022 • D. Kevin Brown • John 12:1–10

As we prepare to celebrate Christmas, we know that “Christmas” is all about the coming of Christ. But, His coming also meant His death. Sunday, we’ll see Jesus anointed with fragrant perfume by Mary of Bethany, which symbolized the preparation for His death and burial. You anoint kings. Mary’s gracious act was just that! King Jesus was in her presence and she worshipped Him with her costly act of love. Join us as we begin our new series: “King Jesus Came."
