This morning we are going to take our second walk through THE LIFE OF JOSEPH. The Holy Spirit introduces us to Joseph at the beginning of Genesis 37
Genesis 37:2 Joseph, being seventeen years old
He was an extraordinary young man who, unlike his 10 older brothers, had the benefit of being raised by his dad when his dad was more Israel (the man governed by God) than Jacob (the conniver). He was raised by a man who in his old age was limping through life as a result of his epic encounter with the Lord a man with a humble and a broken heart. He was raised by a man who, from the vantage point of age and experience, was able to tell Joseph all about the heartache of half-obedience, the blessing of being governed by God, and the faithfulness of God.

19 But Joseph said to them, "Do not fear, for am I in the place of God? 20 As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good, to bring it about that many people should be kept alive, as they are today. 21 So do not fear; I will provide for you and your little ones." Thus he comforted them and spoke kindly to them. - Genesis 50:19-21
