Tangier, Morocco is often called the gateway between Europe and Africa. The port city’s rapid growth has increased its material prosperity, yet most of the 1.25 million people there suffer from spiritual poverty. Pray that they will desire and seek Christ.

29. RIYADH, SAUDI ARABIA.

In the 1940s, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia was a desert village. Now, the city’s Kingdom Center skybridge overlooks the homes of 7.5 million people. Pray that each person in this influential Muslim city will hear and believe the message of salvation through Jesus.

28. MARSEILLE, FRANCE.

Join Christians who have been praying for hearts in Marseille, France, asking God to tear down the wall of unbelief that is blinding them to the truth of the gospel. Pray that the wall will come down and revival will come among the peoples of Marseille.

27. MARRAKECH, MOROCCO.

A cultural crossroads, Marrakech is famous for its markets, winding alleyways, and Moorish structures. Dark spiritual oppression casts its shadow over the city. Pray for church leaders to remain faithful, invest in local believers, and multiply healthy churches.

26. KUWAIT CITY, KUWAIT.

Oil money transformed Kuwait City from a sleepy fishing village into a hub of skyscrapers, opulent malls, and luxury cars. Pray that the 3 million people there will be disillusioned with striving for financial gain and be captivated by the Savior who gives eternal life.

25. DUBAI, UNITED ARAB EMIRATES.

The older generation in Dubai has witnessed tremendous changes–from riding camels to cars, from traditional styles of storytelling to technology. Pray for these devout Muslims to hear of Jesus’ love for them and to know that His message is relevant to their lives.

24. CASABLANCA, MOROCCO.

Casablanca, an African financial hub, has a diverse population of nearly 4 million people. While 99% of them are Muslim, there is a new openness to change. Pray for the lost to be saved, for believers to return to the fellowship, and for church leaders to work in unity.

23. BEIRUT, LEBANON.

Beirut, Lebanon is an ancient city that hugs the coast of the Mediterranean Sea as majestic mountains stand behind it. It’s riddled with economic problems. Pray for the people’s needs to be met, for Muslims to hear about God’s love, and for Christians to return to Him.

22. ATHENS, GREECE.

Believers are sharing their faith and starting discipleship groups among refugees who are placed in homes in Athens, Greece. As some refugees move to camps or new countries, pray that they will remember, believe, and share the gospel that they learned while with believers.

21. AMMAN, JORDAN.

Amman, the capital of Jordan, is a business hub in the Middle East. For people from struggling, neighboring countries, Amman is a place of stability. Pray that the 4 million people there will seek the Savior and believe His message.

20. ADDIS ABABA, ETHIOPIA.

War and famine across Ethiopia have displaced people from their homes and driven them to the capital, Addis Ababa. Pray for believers to effectively help these hurting people. May all that was meant for evil be turned for good, with many being saved (Genesis 50:20).

19. ABU DHABI, UNITED ARAB EMIRATES.

Finding oil changed Abu Dhabi from a seaside village to a towering city of advanced architecture. Like the withered grass and faded flowers (Isaiah 40:8), the city’s wealth will end one day. Pray that the 1.4 million people there will experience eternal life in Jesus.

18. NOUAKCHOTT, MAURITANIA.

Nouakchott was a small fishing village before it became Mauritania’s capital and largest city. Its population are former nomadic peoples who are 99% Muslim. Pray that the Lord will send fishers of men (Matthew 4:19) to live among them and spread the gospel.

17. KASSERINE, TUNISIA.

The 115,000 people in Kasserine, Tunisia face severe unemployment. Many young people resort to Muslim fundamentalism for support or to illegal ways of earning money. Ask the Lord to call believers to engage these peoples with the gospel. 

16. TRIPOLI, LIBYA.

Tripoli, the capital of Libya, boasts a population of over 1 million people. This Mediterranean economic hub has seen many years of civil unrest. The people there need truth and the peace of Jesus. Join us in praying that they will seek and find Him.
