Today's message kicks off a new series on one of our core values: “Awakening Community”. We begin by looking at how our design for community with each other begins in the need for community between and us and God. Jesus modeled the pursuit of such community with His father and there is much for us to learn from His example.

While Christians all over the world worship God in different ways, the one thing we have in common is Paul's encouragement to "sing and make music in your heart to the Lord". Paul doesn't mean music in and of itself, but rather a spontaneous worship that comes from deep within our hearts out of the joy of knowing Jesus.

While FaceBook may tell us that we each have hundreds of "friends", God longs for us to learn how to experience life-giving, deep, "spiritual" friendship.
