Messianic Discipleship for Last Days (6): The Charge to Fulfill Your Calling, 2 Timothy 4:1-2 I. The fulfilling charge compels your solemn attitude, 4:1a II. The fulfilling charge confesses your sacred authority, 4:1b III. The fulfilling charge commands your scriptural activity, 4:2 Portions: 2 Timothy 4:1 I solemnly charge you in the presence of God and the Messiah Yeshua, who is to judge the living and the dead, and by His appearing and His kingdom: 2 preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort, with great patience and instruction. 3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but wanting to have their ears tickled, they will accumulate for themselves teachers in accordance to their own desires, 4 and will turn away their ears from the truth and will turn aside to myths. 5 But you, be sober in all things, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry. Deuteronomy 30:19 "I call heaven and earth to witness against you today, that I have set before you life and death, the blessing and the curse. So choose life in order that you may live, you and your descendants, 20 by loving the LORD your God, by obeying His voice, and by holding fast to Him; for this is your life and the length of your days, that you may live in the land which the LORD swore to your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, to give them." Acts 10:42 "And He ordered us to preach to the people, and solemnly to testify that this is the One who has been appointed by God as Judge of the living and the dead. Isaiah 9:7 There will be no end to the increase of His government or of peace, on the throne of David and over his kingdom, to establish it and to uphold it with justice and righteousness from then on and forevermore. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will accomplish this. Matthew 6:33 "But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. 1 Peter 4:11 Whoever speaks, is to do so as one who is speaking the utterances of God. John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 14 And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth. Revelation 19:13 He is clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God. Romans 10:17 So faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the word of Messiah. Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart. Those who revere the Lord respond to His word. Note: though the video shows "part 8" of the Messianic Discipleship for the Last Days sub-series, it is actually part 6. Family values are demonstrated by God's standards in the scriptures. The Word of God gives you discernment and comprehension of good and evil. The scripture is able to give you what you need, to do the work God called you to do.
