In the finale of Esther’s story we see the Jewish nation preserved as their armies thwart and eliminate the enemy. To commemorate God’s reversal of fate, the feast of Purim is instituted to remind Israel that God alone grants the portion given to every man. Our worries and cares are in the hands of the same God whose hands were pierced when He sealed our ultimate fate through the blood of Calvary.
