God's Greatest Gift

Christmas Season 2013

The Responsibility of Christmas

December 22, 2013 • Pastor Ron Finch

The message of Christmas is more than looking at Bethlehem to find “The Invisible God, Made Visible” or “Man’s Greatest Need Met!”, it is also a call to every Believer to a great responsibility. If we moved through this Christmas season without a focus upon that “Responsibility,” we would be very irresponsible! So, I take the opportunity this Sunday morning before Christmas, to call us the “Responsibility of Christmas.” You ask, “What is that responsibility?” Come with me to see in Philippians 2:3-11.

Man's Greatest Need Met!

December 15, 2013 • Pastor Ron Finch

What is man’s greatest need? When I teach a parenting class I ask parents, “What is your child’s greatest need?” It’s just another way of asking, “What is man’s greatest need?” I suggest to you that man’s greatest need is not a nuclear free world, or a quality education for every person, or a solution to “so-called” global warming, or a better house, or excellent health. Rather, it goes much deeper than any of these things or things like them! Man’s greatest need goes to the core of his being — it goes to his relationship with God! The Truth is: Every person, yes, every person, is born under the judgment and condemnation of God! (Romans 5:18) Christmas DECLARES how God met Man’s Greatest Need! It is to that which we turn our attention to this morning. We will study it by looking at an ANNOUNCEMENT and a REVELATION.

The Invisible God became Visible

December 8, 2013 • Pastor Ron Finch

The apostle Paul declared that God has given us His “indescribable gift” (2 Cor. 9:15). I believe that Jesus Christ is God’s “indescribable gift”! Jesus truly is God’s Gift to us! But, just as we sometimes wrap other gifts inside of another gift, so, we find wrapped in God’s gift of Jesus Christ other gifts. He is the fountain from which many other wonderful gifts flow. This morning we will look at one “gift” that flows to us through God’s gift of Jesus, namely, He, the invisible God, made Himself visible.
