In Hebrews 12:18-24, the writer paints a picture of two mountains representing two covenants and two ways we can approach God. He contrasts the fear of Mt. Sinai, where God displayed his holiness and showed the people that they could not approach him, with the grace of Mt. Zion, a spiritual place where we can now dwell with God in peace.
