Thanksgiving week I can hardly wait for Thursday’s Feast of Thanksgiving – turkey, turkey and more turkey with scrumptious mashed potatoes, cranberries, sweet potatoes and pumpkin pie – yummy! This is my verse for enjoying this great feast and all the festivities that go with it in our home:
Nehemiah 8:10 Then he said to them, “Go your way, eat the fat, drink the sweet, and send portions to those for whom nothing is prepared; for this day is holy to our Lord. Do not sorrow, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.” NKJV
This is a day of celebrating The Lord our God and all He has done for us, don’t mourn over all your failures, focus on the One always worthy of praise and celebrate! Nehemiah’s exhortation to the nation of Israel is just as fitting for us today and every day…
Therefore by Him let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His name. But do not forget to do good and to share, for with such sacrifices God is well pleased. Hebrews 13:15-16 NKJV

DARE TO RESOLVE

What conflicts or problems do you have in your life that you are ready to find an answer for? I want to be a person, and I want to be a part of a tribe of people, who “decides firmly to find answers and solutions to the conflicts and problems” that we, and those around us, are currently facing in life. Can we be this kind of people today? I believe confidently that the answer is yes, and I’m excited to share with you how we can achieve this together.

The Miracle of Christmas: GOD With Us!
December 21, 2014 • Pastor Steve Purdue
The miracle of Christmas is that a virgin conceived and gave birth. I have been emphasizing that truth in my last two messages. You might ask, why is this so important, why place such an emphasis on the Immaculate Conception? Because the entire Word of God, ever promise from the Lord our God, His very Character and therefore our very salvation hangs on this miracle. Just as the death of Jesus Christ is meaningless without His Resurrection (1 Cor.15) so His birth is meaningless without the miracle of Christmas – The Immaculate Conception!
