I Am... The Vine

How often have you thought about the part God wants you to play in building the kingdom? In our last "I am" statement from Jesus, we learn the roles are already set for us. Jesus is the vine, God the vine grower and we are the branches. How do we grow from a Jesus shaped vine, and what do we need from God to bear good fruit of that vine? We learn that God wants to make room for all of us to play our parts together in a beautiful, messy, tangled vine. I Am... The Bread

Transitions are always hard. Before they entered the Promised Land, God's people were in the wilderness for a very long time. They are anxious and uncomfortable times, ones we would like to escape, but into those times God is still providing, even revealing, God's ability to sustain us, satisfy us through the in-between, preparing us for a new beginning.
