The real battle of Jericho had less to do with overwhelming a city and everything to do with overcoming doubt and unbelief. The real obstacle was not the walls of Jericho, but the walls of unbelief. The real battle was spiritual in nature, not physical. Will God's people obey the Lord and go forward or will they waver in unbelief?

The Rocks Cry Out

At the end of Joshua's speech, the people agreed to serve the Lord. He set up a large rock and said, "This rock has heard you. If you do not do these things, then this stone will cry out in judgment against you." Now you know why Jesus (Joshua in Hebrew) says, "If these people don't praise me, the rocks will cry out." So the choice is yours today. Choose you -this day- whom -you- will serve.
