Believers Don't Doubt

August 27, 2017 • Kurt Pressler

Doubt isn’t neutral. Doubt isn’t something we can just ignore. Doubt is a tenacious force that erodes the foundation of our faith and our relationship with God. James tells us doubt renders the believer as double-minded, someone who wavers or vacillates between belief and unbelief, as unstable and unpredictable as a wave. If we are in a position of compromised faith in God, we are in no position to be asking anything of him.

You Must Love Yourself Before You Can Love Others

August 20, 2017 • Gary Brandenburg

To love another as I love myself is a very radical command. It means that I should be as concerned about the happiness and well-being of others as I am about my own. It means I want to relieve other's suffering as much as we want to relieve my own. It means I care as deeply about refugee children as I do about my own. It means that I hunger and thirst for righteousness and justice for all just as I want those things for my own grandchildren. Make the desires that you have for your own comfort and security and success and happiness the measure of how intensely and creatively and consistently you desire and pursue those things for others.

God Will Never Give You More Than You Can Handle

August 13, 2017 • Richard Kerry

In times of pain and suffering God DOES give us more than we can handle – but He’ll never give us more than He can handle. His power thrives in your weakness. His power gives comfort in life’s hardest moments. Some of you have been angry with Him over circumstances in your life and it’s caused you to run from Him– and He wants nothing more than for your return and for you to lean into Him instead.

Christians Shouldn't Judge

July 30, 2017 • Gary Brandenburg

God’s judgment is perfect. Our judgment is tainted by self-interest. We are to judge by God’s standard and not our own. That means we can and should judge external behavior against God’s perfect standard but we can’t judge internal motives because we can’t know them.

Saved by Faith

July 23, 2017 • Gary Brandenburg

Do you want to be saved? You can't be saved if you don't know you're lost. "Saved from what?" Saved from spending an eternity separated from God and His kingdom. If you like it here, if you like the chaos on planet earth where people have rejected God's rule, then you can look forward to an eternity of all this AND SO MUCH MORE! if you are tired of all this, accept God's gift of eternal life. I know, you don't deserve it. You can't earn it. But you can receive http://it...right now by faith.

Blueprints and Plans

July 16, 2017 • Randy Thompson

This message should be freeing. If you’ve been worried or anxious about a fork in the road or some other major decision, you can rest easy. If you seek to love God and love others, you cannot make a bad decision. As long as you seek to glorify God with your life, you will be okay.

All Roads Lead to God

July 9, 2017 • Kurt Pressler

I believe the caring impulse of Jesus-loving Christians who entertain the belief that all roads lead to God is a desire that no one perishes. The good news is that God has the same desire, and he’s made it possible for all to have life.

The Truth Will Make You Free?

July 2, 2017 • Gary Brandenburg

Freedom is often confused with autonomy. Auto = self, nomos = law. And I want to be free from all authority but my own. I want what I want when I want it. The very first recorded lie was that Adam and Eve could be their own gods and call their own shots – accountable to no one. We are still living with the disastrous consequences of believing that lie and it is still with us. It begins at birth.

Money is the Root of All Evil

June 18, 2017 • Gary Brandenburg

Why is the love of money considered the root of evil? There are some other pretty good candidates out there - pride, lust, envy? Why money? What Paul is saying is that all the evils in the world come from a certain kind of heart, namely, the kind of heart that loves money. If we love money, we suffer from misplaced devotion and misdirected affections.
