The Gospel of John

So You May Believe

Do You Love Me (Jesus)?

May 4, 2014 • Paul Strahan

We close out our study on the Gospel according to John as we look at the 21st chapter. In our text today we observe the miracle of Jesus providing fish in the net of the disciples after they had unsuccessfully spent all night on the lake. As they are fed breakfast by Jesus that morning, we listen in on the conversation between Jesus and Peter. It is here Jesus asks Peter three times, "Do you love me more than these?" Jesus lovingly and firmly restores the apostle Peter back into a right relationship. We can all identify with the failings of Peter and yet the desire to follow Jesus.

The Third Day

April 27, 2014 • Paul Strahan

We examine Jesus revealing himself after the resurrection to Mary, the disciples, and then Thomas. How does the resurrected Lord reveal himself to us? What can we learn from these encounters with the resurrected Lord? We will consider at least four ways Jesus helps us in our time of need! Jesus comes to us, He speaks to us, He reveals himself to us, He gives us a task, and He encourages us!
