Many believers struggle with sharing about Jesus, especially with those closest to them. Moses had witnessed and experienced much of the Lord's work in His life and the life of Israel during the Exodus events. This passage shows us what happened when he was willing to share his basic personal testimony with his father-in-law. Exodus 18 can offer encouragement and guidance as we seek to share the Lord with those close to us.
