My Family Shrub

Week 1

May 11, 2014

For some, their family tree is a picture perfect claim to fame that leaves others dreaming, “If only…” For the rest of us, our family tree looks more like a shrub. Whether a bunch of dried up sticks or a gangly clump of wild brambles, our family bears no resemblance to a towering oak, majestic maple, or flowering dogwood. With the horticultural challenge before us, we may reach for the clippers or shovel in the hopes of dealing with the mess. The fact is that all families are less than perfect. However, that should never keep us from striving to have the best one. No matter the shape and size of your family shrub, you’re in good company at Branches. We believe that with God, any old tree - or shrub - will do.
