February 19, 2023 • Ryan Holland • Romans 5:12, Matthew 5:8, Ephesians 1:7, Romans 3:23, Romans 3:10

In this powerful sermon, Pastor Ryan Hollands dives deep into the Beatitude of "Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God" from Matthew 5:8. He starts by explaining the meaning of the heart, which represents our desires, thoughts, and affections. He emphasizes that having a pure heart means desiring, thinking, and caring about Godly things. It's important it is to have a pure heart that can only come from God. Ephesians 1:7, Romans 3:23, Romans 3:10, and Romans 5:12 illustrate that all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God, but through faith in Jesus Christ, we can be made pure and blameless. We should seek a pure heart and trust in God's grace to make it possible. We should also examine our desires, thoughts, and affections, and ask God to transform our hearts so that we may see Him more clearly.

February 5, 2023 • Tim Barnett

Tim Barnett from Stand To Reason, an apologetics minister, discusses why anyone should trust the Bible. He argues that many people simply assume the Bible is true because of their upbringing, but he aims to provide evidence for why it should be trusted as the Word of God. He acknowledges the challenges the Bible faces from scholars like Bart Ehrman and Richard Dawkins and acknowledges that saying "the Bible is the Word of God because it says so" is not a convincing argument. He then presents five "E's" of evidence for the trustworthiness of the New Testament, including eyewitness testimony, embarrassing evidence, excruciating evidence, and external evidence.

January 1, 2023 • Lance Faulkner • 1 Corinthians 11:17–26

Pastor Lance's message was based on 1 Corinthians 11:17-26. This passage teaches us the significance of the Lord's Supper, where we remember the sacrifice of Jesus through the bread and the cup. We are reminded to put others before ourselves and to serve with a heart full of love and gratitude for all that Jesus has done for us. During this service, we reflected on the importance of putting our own needs and desires aside in order to serve and honor God and others. We also discussed the transformative power of following Jesus and how it should impact our actions and the way we treat others. We hope that this message encourages and challenges you to serve and love others selflessly, just as Jesus did for us. Thank you for joining us for this special service on Communion.
