Growing Our Spiritual Community

February 26, 2023 • Apostle Brian G.Fite • Acts 9:31

This verse tells us four elements were present when the community grew: 1. The community had peace. 2. The community was built up. 3. The disciples were living in the fear of the Lord. 4. The disciples were living in the comfort of the Holy Spirit. These elements depend on how we approach our discipleship

Discipleship Retreat: Investing In My Purpose IV

I Am A Disciple - Stephen

April 1, 2018 • Apostle Brian G.Fite • Acts 7:54—8:1

Installment 11 – Like Yeshua, Stephen was willing to give his life for God’s message to Israel. He was strong and committed to the point of total obedience to the Holy Spirit. This level of commitment and surrender is rare but Stephen proves it is achievable. Are we focused on the cross to the point that we will imitate Yeshua even in death? I am a Disciple just like Stephen.

Don't Ask: Be

February 11, 2018 • Apostle Brian G.Fite • Isaiah 1:18–20

Installment 5 – The Father, Yahweh, is so passionate for relationship that he is willing to debate with Israel to bring them into relationship. All of creation should desire a healthy relationship with God, but especially Disciples. We invest a lot of time in asking God for direction and information. We do this because we want/need to be in control. Isaiah reveals that God wants Disciples to be willing and obedient. Stop asking God who you are or what you should do; just BE.

I Am A Disciple: Gerasene Demoniac

February 18, 2018 • Apostle Brian G.Fite • Luke 8:34–40

Installment 6 – The Bible is a resource to assist Disciples in understanding God’s plan through the events that are recorded. The Geresene Demoniac offers great information for Disciples. In this message the focus is on the response to his deliverance. It is important for Disciples to be prepared for the response so that it does not cause an unexpected impact. I am a Disciple, just like the Geresene Demoniac.

I Am A Disciple: Zacchaeus

February 25, 2018 • Apostle Brian G.Fite • Luke 19:1–10

Installment 7 – The purpose of the Gospel is to redeem sinners to God. Many sinners are convinced they are too far gone for God to love them. Zacchaeus offers us evidence of the passion and power of God’s love for sinful humankind. I am a Disciple – just like Zacchaeus.

Is the Church Organized for Growth?

January 28, 2018 • Apostle Brian G.Fite • Ephesians 4:11–16

Installment 4 – The community of Disciples is identified as The Church. Disciples who learn and serve together are identified as a church. The Church (Universal) and every church that comprises the body of Christ must be organized for growth. Those who seek to serve in these gifts must first be prepared Disciples and then they must be prepared and confirmed in the gift they are called to represent. The church is our place of preparation so it is important that those serving in these gifts must know their role is to equip and build up. The harvest is plentiful but the laborers are few. The Church is where Disciples are prepared to reap the harvest. Our church must be prepared for the harvest God has called us to; therefore we must be organized for growth.

I am a Disciple – Barnabas (Part 1)

March 4, 2018 • Apostle Brian G.Fite • Acts 4:34—5:1

Installment 8 – Barnabas offers a wonderful example of Discipleship based on how he responded to the Apostles and his faithful execution of the tasks assigned to him. Anyone who desires to be a faithful Disciple should study the behaviors of Barnabas. I am a Disciple – just like Barnabas.

Two Prepared Reap 5000

January 14, 2018 • Apostle Brian G.Fite • Acts 4:1–4

Installment 2 – The purpose for being a Disciple is to make Disciples, therefore it is important for Disciples to always be aware of the impact we are to have on the world around us. Two prepared Disciples (Peter & John) impacted the synagogue worship community and about five thousand believed. The “Three Steps to Go” make us ready to make Disciples for Christ. Every Disciple must be focused on reaping a harvest; this is our ministry (service). The miracle at the gate called Beautiful (Acts 3) was so that the Gospel could be proclaimed. The power in two Prepared Disciples resulted in thousands committing to become Disciples. The ability to reap an exponential harvest is in each Disciple. Get prepared and know your partner.

Your Cross

March 30, 2018 • Apostle Brian G.Fite • Mark 8:34–38

Installment 9 – As we recognize Good Friday this is our opportunity to learn what Yeshua taught the disciples about the Cross in relation to Discipleship. As disciples our commitment is to follow Yeshua to our Cross. The standards for disciples are clear but the church has ignored the standards and allowed people to associate with the church without sharing the standards of Yeshua. The Church must be educated on the standards of discipleship so that people fully understand the surrender required with salvation. In order to be a disciple you must take up Your Cross.
