As we conclude the Gospel of Mark, we are taken to a place where we see the apex of humanity. The resurrected Jesus, who is the “firstfruits of the dead”, meaning we get to see OUR future. A future of love and hope, where sickness, disease and death is no more. So, if this is true, what does mean for our present life today?

Finding Life in a World of Death

Jesus dies. His followers are going to his tomb to put the finishing touches on the death of their hope. What they find is staggering. The grave is open and Jesus is gone. This scene leaves us asking what are our expectations about life and death?
