The Body Or The Building?
October 7, 2018 • Michael McCracken
In this text we see the inextricable link between our faith and our faith family. There seems to be a level of comfort, thanksgiving, and joy that we simply cannot attain on our own. All of this is bound up in the reality that we need each other to build up our faith in the areas that we are lacking.

God is making His appeal in and through those whom He has claimed for Himself! If you are in Christ then you have been raised up for a purpose. Additional Scripture References: Ephesians 2:1-3; Romans 3:20; 23-25; Colossians 213-15; Genesis 3; 2 Corinthians 4:5-6
The Lord's Supper
May 20, 2012 • Jim McCracken
In Jesus' life we would often see him in the midst of bread or wine, sometimes even using them to convey a message. But what Jesus tells his disciples to remember when they take bread and wine is one thing: his sacrifice on the cross. Additional Scripture References: 1 Corinthians 11:23-26, Luke 22:17-19
The Great Commission
January 15, 2012 • Michael McCracken
Right before Christ would call His disciples to go into all the world making disciples, He would let them know that He now had all authority in heaven and on earth. What was the purpose for Christ telling His disciples this? As a disciple, what should run through our minds as we think of the "authority" that Christ has over everything as we take on the greatest calling in the world? Christ is calling His disciples to have the correct view of their resurrected Messiah. What did He accomplish by His death and resurrection? What is He going to continue to accomplish? Christ's redemptive work for our salvation on the cross is finished, but the story isn't over. Additional Scripture References: Matt 9:6, Phil 2:8-11, Rom 8:18-25, Rom 8:1-4, Psalm 51:5, Eph 1:3-10, Rom 8:28-30, Heb 2:17-18, Rom 8:31-35
What Did We Learn From The Magi?
December 18, 2011 • Jon Paul Dennison
After Jesus was born and was being cared for in a house in Bethlehem, several "wise men" came to worship him bringing gifts with them. These astrologers from the east, most likely Mesopotamia, recognized God's sign that Christ had been born and responded. What do we learn about them in Scripture and what do they teach us doctrinally? Here we begin to see the significances and relationship between God coming to us and us going to Him.
