Marriage Reminder Series: A Perfect Picture

May 17, 2024

Transcript: This week, I’ve identified thus far 4 biblical principles for the defense of God’s design for marriage. Hello, I’m Sam Rohrer with the American Pastors Network, and another Stand in the Gap Minute. At APN we emphasize the authority of Scripture for deciding all areas of life and living beginning with marriage and urge pastors and parents to live it and defend it. The 5th biblical principle defending marriage is God’s declaration in Ephesians 5 that physical marriage between one man and one woman is holy and pictures the spiritual relationship between Christ and the Church. God’s plan of Redemption through Jesus Christ to the Church is the picture of true love and unity between God and man and why all efforts to redefine God’s design is a direct attack on God Himself, His Plan of Redemption, and Jesus Christ. Will you join us at Stand in the Gap Radio and TV in illustrating Christ’s love for the Church in our marriages and families. Stand with us at American Pastors Network dot net.

Marriage Reminder Series: Keep it Holy

May 16, 2024

Transcript: Hello, I’m Sam Rohrer with the American Pastors Network and another timely Stand in the Gap Minute This week, I’m sharing 5 biblical principles for the defense of God’s design for marriage. First, marriage is God’s idea. Second, it’s the hinge-pin of the family – the cornerstone of authority in society. Third, marriage is between only one man and one woman. The 4th principle is that to preserve the integrity of marriage and the family, it must be kept holy. No violation or variation of marriage or human sexuality other than within the bounds of marriage between one man and one woman is acceptable without bringing predictable consequences to individuals, communities and nations. Heterosexual infidelity, sex outside marriage, homosexuality, or marriage between multiple men or woman all violate God’s order. Will you join with us at Stand in the Gap Radio and TV and embrace, defend, and live out God’s plan for marriage of one man and one woman? Marriage Reminder Series: One-Man, One-Woman

May 15, 2024

Transcript: Today marks the midpoint of our emphasis on marriage. This week, I’m sharing 5 biblical principles in the defense of marriage because strong marriages yield strong families and strong families yield strong nations. Hello, I’m Sam Rohrer, with the American Pastors Network and another Stand in the Gap Minute. First, marriage is God’s idea. Second, its society’s foundational institution of authority. The third principle presumes one man and one woman -united and committed - as one flesh – before God. No other combination works in God’s plan. Therefore, no government possesses the authority to legally alter or redefine marriage or family possessing no more moral or civil authority to redefine marriage than to declare invalid Natural Law, or arrogantly declare to be legal such immoral actions as bribery, abortion, or rape. Will you join with us at Stand in the Gap Radio and TV and embrace, defend, and live out God’s plan for marriage of one man and one woman? Visit us at American Pastors Network dot net.

Marriage Reminder Series: Foundational for Society

May 14, 2024

Transcript: Making the case for marriage is easy – if we fear God. This week following Mother’s Day, I’ll identify 5 biblical principles for the defense of marriage. Hello, I’m Sam Rohrer with the American Pastors Network and another Stand in the Gap Minute. Not only is marriage God’s idea, His Plan establishes biblical marriage as foundational for strong families – the cornerstone of authority in human society. God’s foundation for societal order is upheld first by the pillar of Family authority, then Civil, then Church authority – all nurtured by God’s purpose and limitation for each. No nation can be blessed of God without strong families. No family can be strong without strong marriages. No marriage can be strong without following God’s design of 1 man and 1 woman in marriage. Pastor, parent, young person, will you join with us at Stand in the Gap Radio and TV and embrace, defend, and live out God’s plan for marriage in the pulpit and in the home? Marriage Reminder Series: It’s God’s Model

May 13, 2024

Transcript: With Mother’s Day now just behind us, it’s a great time to re-emphasize the importance of marriage. Defending the model of 1 man and 1 woman’s easy. Whether examined historically, physiologically, emotionally, economically or morally - God’s model for marriage is superior to any other. Hello, I’m Sam Rohrer with the American Pastors network and a timely Stand in the Gap Minute. This week, I’ll share 5 biblical principles for the defense of marriage. The first principle is that marriage is God’s idea. God’s model is best because God alone is our Creator and its His right to set the standard. Our opinion doesn’t really matter. We have no vote but we do not have a choice. As the Source of all Authority, God’s plan for male and female, marriage, human sexuality, children and family prevails. Only He has the right to legitimately define it and to demand that we observe it. Will you join with us at Stand in the Gap Radio and TV and embrace, defend and live out God’s Plan for marriage? Mother’s Day Series: The Promise

May 9, 2024

Transcript: In just a few days we’ll honor our moms on Mother’s Day. Do you know there’s great reward when we honor our parents as the 5th commandment declares? Hello, I’m Sam Rohrer with the American Pastors Network and another Stand in the Gap Minute. Honoring, obeying, and respecting our mothers and fathers is so important to God that He connects this commandment with a promise of long life. The position of father and mother is sacred. Mom? Grandmother? Are you teaching your children to fear God and obey Him as you train them, as you live as wife and mother? Are you setting the kind of example that’s worthy of God’s commendation and respect from your children? I pray that this Mother’s Day all of us as children, dads and moms commit to God’s plan for family, thank Him for it and ask of him, Lord, how am I doing? Join with us as Stand in the Gap Radio and TV in honoring God through our Mothers on Mother’s Day. Stand with us at American pastors network dot net.

Mother’s Day Series: To Honor is to Obey

May 8, 2024

Transcript: During this week preceding Mother’s Day, it’s good to think about our moms and give them due honor. What does God say about honoring our parents? Hello, I’m Sam Rohrer with the American Pastors Network and another Stand in the Gap Minute. Since God designed the idea of family as 1 man and 1 woman in devotion to each other and if blessed of God with children, we should honor our moms in a special way if they’ve done well in raising us to fear God and walk in His steps. The 5th Commandment says to honor our fathers and mothers. But honoring is more than being thankful. To honor includes obeying them as God’s stewards over us and submitting ourselves to their direction as we would to God. When done well, the example of children obeying their parents, moms instructing their children in the ways of God are powerful. Mother’s Day Series: A Spiritual Position

May 7, 2024

Transcript: This Sunday’s Mother’s Day. How will you honor your mom? My mom went to heaven years ago, but I’ll honor her memory by sharing stories with my grandchildren about how my mom raised me to fear God, love truth and live by faith. Hello, I’m Sam Rohrer with the American Pastors Network and another Stand in the Gap Minute. The word mother first occurs in Gen. 2:24 where God created male and female named them Adam and Eve and ordained marriage between father and mother - for a man shall leave his father and mother and cleave unto his wife. God’s plan starts with 1 man and 1 woman who forsaking all others cleave to each other and form a God designed team from which God can give children to be raised up in the fear of God. Motherhood’s not just a biological but a spiritual position ordained of God. Join us at Stand in the Gap radio and TV and honor our moms as God does. Mother’s Day Series: They’re Special

May 6, 2024

Transcript: This coming Sunday we’ll celebrate Mother’s Day. Honoring our mothers is important to them, us and to God. Hello, I’m Sam Rohrer with the American Pastors Network and another Stand in the Gap Minute. Our moms hold a most special place in our hearts. Regardless of their education, talents or accomplishments, they’re special because they carried us in their wombs then gave us life. They fed us, bathed us, nurtured us when we were helpless and needy. We are from them and literally part of them. If nothing else, shouldn’t we love our moms, care for them they grow old as they cared for us and this Mother’s Day honor them in a special way? The balance of this week, I’ll share several biblical reasons why honoring our moms is so important not just on Mother’s Day but every day. Join us at Stand in the Gap radio and TV in honoring our mothers. Signs of the Time Series: Encouraging Signs

May 3, 2024

Transcript: For the unbeliever, the events of the last days are frightful, painful and full of death and judgment. But for the Believer, evidence of the last Days guarantees Christ’s soon return and His soon reign of Christ on earth for a thousand years. Hello, I’m Sam Rohrer with another Stand in the Gap Minute. This week, we’ve looked at the some of the ways God has called us to respond to the signs of the last days. Scripture calls us to be prepared, to live with joy, to have an eternal perspective, and to share our faith with others. First Thessalonians 4:18 ends a section of Scripture discussing Christ’s any-moment coming. How does it conclude? Paul writes, “Therefore encourage one another with these words.” The signs of the times are designed as a warning for unbelievers and those living in sin, but they are an encouragement for those of us following the Lord. Signs of the Time Series: Witnessing More

May 2, 2024

Transcript: When is the last time you have shared how Jesus changed your life with someone else? For many of us, it has been far too long, but Scripture challenges us to talk about our new life in Christ even more as we face the last days. Hello, I’m Sam Rohrer with another Stand in the Gap Minute. As the apostle Paul addressed the struggles he faced, he taught in Acts 20:24, “I consider my life worth nothing to me; my only aim is to finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me—the task of testifying to the good news of God’s grace.” Paul was changed from darkness to light and was willing to share his faith with others. God may place someone in your path today who needs to hear the story of how you have been changed, and how God can change them. Discover more at American Pastors Network dot net.

Signs of the Time Series: Looking Up

May 1, 2024

Transcript: Do the negative headlines and actions around you get you down? If so, you’re not alone. Many feel troubled by the cares of this life, but Scripture offers a different response, teaching us to look up for Christ’s return. Hello, I’m Sam Rohrer with another Stand in the Gap Minute. In Revelation 22, the apostle John concluded his heavenly vision of the last days. He saw both the coming judgments and the ultimate outcome of Christ’s coming, along with the new heavens and the new earth. What was his response? He said, “Come, Lord Jesus!” As believers, we can face the struggles of the last days with an eternal perspective. Why? Because we know our final destination! Don’t live in discouragement today. Look ahead, like John, to our future home in heaven. We may face discouragement, but God is with us, and will be with us for eternity. Discover more at American Pastors Network dot net.

Signs of the Time Series: Joy in the Last Days

April 30, 2024

Transcript: Many people live like God designed the last days to scare us. But nothing’s further from the truth! Jesus gave us signs of the times to prepare us, not with gloom, but with joy, not with stress but with anticipation. Hello, I’m Sam Rohrer with another Stand in the Gap Minute. As Christians, we can be tempted to avoid talking about the end times, partly because they are the days of God’s wrath against sin and the Devil. But in Matthew 25, Jesus told the parable of the talents to encourage us to use our gifts to serve Him. Why? Jesus said it was to enter “the joy of your master.” The Lord’s given us abilities, resources, and opportunities to serve Him with joy, making the most of every moment until He returns. Don’t be like the servant who hid his money in the ground! Invest what God have given you for eternal impact today. Discover more at American Pastors Network dot net.

Signs of the Time Series: Responding to the Signs

April 29, 2024

Transcript: It’s often said that many people spend more time planning an earthly vacation than they do their eternal home! Since the signs speak so clearly that we’re in the very last days, shouldn’t we be very serious about eternity? Hello, I’m Sam Rohrer with another Stand in the Gap Minute. In Matthew 25, Jesus told a story about 10 young women preparing for their wedding. Five were prepared – 5 were not. The unprepared missed the wedding and their eternal home in heaven. Jesus used the story to teach us to be watchful since we don’t know the hour of His coming yet we can know the season. If Jesus returned this moment, would you be ready? If not, what should you be doing differently? Don’t wait. The time for change is now. Being watchful, prepared and excitedly anticipating the Return of the Bridegroom for the Church is important. Living like the Bride of Christ now until He comes is essential. Discover more at American Pastors Network dot net.
