Mother’s Day Series: They’re Special

May 6, 2024

Transcript: This coming Sunday we’ll celebrate Mother’s Day. Honoring our mothers is important to them, us and to God. Hello, I’m Sam Rohrer with the American Pastors Network and another Stand in the Gap Minute. Our moms hold a most special place in our hearts. Regardless of their education, talents or accomplishments, they’re special because they carried us in their wombs then gave us life. They fed us, bathed us, nurtured us when we were helpless and needy. We are from them and literally part of them. If nothing else, shouldn’t we love our moms, care for them they grow old as they cared for us and this Mother’s Day honor them in a special way? The balance of this week, I’ll share several biblical reasons why honoring our moms is so important not just on Mother’s Day but every day. Join us at Stand in the Gap radio and TV in honoring our mothers. True Heroes Series: Great in Trust

May 28, 2024

Transcript: This week, we’re commemorating true heroes – the kind we need today. From the time I was young, Daniel - the Politician and Prophet – was my hero. Kidnapped, orphaned, sexually abused, and relocated to a foreign, idolatrous nation, Daniel stood the test of character by purposing in his heart to trust God -even as a boy. Hello, I’m Sam Rohrer with the American Pastors Network and another Stand in the Gap Minute. True heroes are great because they trust in God. For Daniel, God gave him great wisdom and understanding. Exalted to Vice-President of Babylon, he served powerful kings. His colleagues tried to destroy him – but found him blameless. Though his godly life made him a target and even in his old age ended him in a lion’s den- Daniel served God faithfully and trusted God implicitly. He was unwavering in his trust – a true hero. How about you? Would you join us at Stand in the Gap Radio and TV, walk by faith and trust in God? Visit us at American pastors network dot net.

True Heroes Series: Great in Faith

May 27, 2024

Transcript: Today is Memorial Day and a great time to think of heroes. This week I’ll highlight several heroes from Scripture and what made them great. Hello, I’m Sam Rohrer with the American Pastors Network and another Stand in the Gap Minute. Hebrews Chapter 11 – the Bible’s Hall of fame – says that faith is required in life and death to please God. We’re reminded that walking by faith is righteous but walking by sight is sin. Pastors, parents, and all real heroes please God walking by faith and demonstrating strength, courage and leadership. In II Kings 6:17, Elisha asked God to open the eyes of his servant so he could see what Elisha by faith was already seeing - a mountain full of flaming horses and chariots guarding the man of faith. Be assured. Those who’re powerful in faith can see things others can’t see- and do things others can’t do. Walk by faith my friend. See and do great things for God.
