What do the Psalms say about wisdom

Royal Psalms

March 13, 2016 • Martin McCrory

Royal Psalms are psalms by, for or concerning the king of Israel/Judah. Many of these psalms are simple prayers for, celebrations of, tributes to or blessings upon, the reigning king; there is no future reference to the psalm. Others are prophetic; they speak both of the present kind and of the future, much greater King. However, they are unconsciously prophetic. Psalms of the latter type belong to the special group of psalms- "Messianic Psalms" (e.g. Ps. 2 and/or 110).
